In addition to H-E-B home delivery orders, you may see Place & Pay orders from H-E-B in the Runner app. These orders contain a list of items for the Runner to shop for inside H-E-B.
When you accept a Place & Pay order from H-E-B and tap SHOP, you’ll be directed to the shopping list in the app where you can mark each item as Shopped or Unavailable as you go through the store. Plus, you can select Substitute if an item is unavailable but the customer wants to exchange it for a different item.
At the top of the list, you’ll be able to see if the customer prefers to be called, texted, or if they are fine with your best choice if substitutions are needed. If the customer left order notes, you can review them by tapping the note icon in the top right corner. You can also message the customer by tapping the message section at the bottom of the Shopping list page.
For each item, you’ll be able to view the aisle number, section, and shelf number. These details can help you quickly grab items to check out faster. Each side of the aisle is labeled as side A or B on a red label at the top of the shelves, and each side is divided into sections that are also visible on the red labels. Shelves are numbered from the bottom to the top, with shelf 1 being the ground-floor shelf.
After you have shopped for all items, you can select the X in the top left corner, then select CHECKOUT and pay for the order.
