Beginning July 31, 2024, all H-E-B locations will require Runners to have at least 4 insulated bags or coolers to pick up batched H-E-B home delivery orders.
On average, batched H-E-B home delivery orders are completed 20% faster than running two separate orders.* That means you can move on to your next orders even faster to help boost your earnings.
To be eligible to receive batched home delivery orders, you must verify that you have at least 4 insulated bags or coolers. You can get verified for batched orders by going to Settings in the Runner app, tapping Batching Eligibility, and following the prompts to upload a photo of your bags or coolers. The Favor team will verify your eligibility within 2 business days. If you do not verify your eligibility, you will not be offered batched orders.
Runners may use any insulated bags or coolers they like, but affordable options are available in person at H-E-B or online in the Favor Runner Store. As always, you are free to accept or decline any delivery you like. However, if you arrive to pick up batched H-E-B home delivery orders without proper insulation at an H-E-B location, H-E-B Partners will decline to give you the orders.
You will see the information about both orders in a batch on a single acceptance screen, which will feature 2 X H-E-B and the BATCH and INSULATION icons. You can see your estimated earnings, estimated total time, and total distance below the ACCEPT button.
For these batches, you will receive two tips, one batched base pay, and any applicable promos.
When you accept a batch, the app will automatically show you the most efficient drop-off route. We strongly recommend dropping off the orders in the sequence shown in the app.
How do I deliver a Fleet Favor?
Fleet Favors are placed by the restaurant or store instead of the customer. They are clearly marked in the Runner app as a Pickup & deliver order and should be ready for pick up when you arrive. You will not need to shop, place the order, or pay.
To complete a Fleet order, just follow the instructions listed in the Favor Details.
If you have a question about a specific Fleet Favor, please contact the restaurant or store directly for assistance.
How can I complete H-E-B home delivery using the Favor app?
H-E-B is one of our most popular Favor Fleet partners for their home delivery orders. If you choose to accept an H-E-B home delivery order, H-E-B has shared these steps to complete it using the app:
- Park in one of the designated curbside pickup parking spots.
- Follow the instructions on the sign to notify H-E-B via text that you have arrived.
- An H-E-B Partner will bring the items out to your vehicle as soon as possible. You can then load your car and return the cart to the nearest cart corral.
- When you arrive at the delivery location, the app will prompt you to take a photo of the delivery in the app, then knock or ring the doorbell and visually confirm the customer receives the order. If you are unable to visually confirm the order was received by the customer after a few minutes, they will receive a photo of the delivery via text for reference.
