There are two types of restaurant Favors: Place & Pay and Pickup & Deliver. The Favor type will be shown on the order acceptance screen.
Place & Pay
Most orders are Place & Pay Favors in which you will personally place the order online, over the phone, or in person. Whenever possible, you can save time by placing the order in advance. This allows you to pay and pick up quickly when you arrive at the restaurant.
Pickup & Deliver
Favor also places orders for you with restaurants like Freebirds World Burrito, TacoDeli, Snappy Salads, Hopdoddy, and more!
Just like Place & Pay Favors, Pickup & Deliver orders are placed by the customer in the Favor app. We’ve just taken care of placing the order, so all you need to do is pick up and deliver.
Pickup & Deliver order frequently asked questions
How will I know if the order will be placed for me?
On the order acceptance screen, you will see Place & Pay or Pickup & Deliver under the restaurant or store name. You can also find this information under Favor Details in the Runner app.
How do I run Pickup & Deliver Favors?
All you need to do is pick up the order at the restaurant or store and drop it off at the customer’s door.
When you arrive, the order will already be paid for and ready for pickup. Many restaurants have a to-go table where the order will be waiting for you. If the order is not there, please provide the customer’s name or order number to a restaurant employee. This information can be found under Favor Details in the Runner app.
Do I need a receipt?
You do not need an itemized receipt. Take a photo of the order ticket on the bag and enter a price of $0 unless the customer has contacted you to add more items.
If the customer has requested to add items that were not included in the original order, place the order with the store, take a photo of the receipt, and save the second price in the app.
How are these different from Fleet Favors?
Pickup & Deliver orders are still placed by the customer in the Favor app (and the customer is aware Favor is handling the delivery). You will still be able to contact your customer during these orders to ask questions or handle any problems that arise during the delivery.
