Favor provides commercial auto insurance for any Runner on an active Favor. There is no cost to Runners and no enrollment is required.
Please note that this coverage only applies while running an active Favor. Any accidents that may occur when you are not running an active Favor will not be covered. All Runners must have a valid Driver’s License issued by TX or another US state, and have and maintain a primary auto insurance that would cover them as described in Section 5(a) of the Favor Runner Software Agreement while fulfilling orders.
If an accident occurs while on an active Favor, please follow these steps:
- Make sure you are in a safe location.
- Call 911. Obtaining a police report is recommended but not required to file a claim in the case where city services can not come to you.
- Contact Support to let them know you were in an accident and reassign the Favor. You can do this by canceling the Favor and selecting Reassign. You do not need to worry about completing the delivery.
- Complete the Runner Accident Insurance Form. After you submit this form, an insurance adjuster will reach out to you within two to four business days. Please contact your personal auto insurance provider first to file a claim for any damage to your vehicle or property.

What is considered an active Favor?
An active Favor means you have selected Accept and are actively working the Favor and have not yet completed the Favor.
Do I still need my own personal auto insurance?
Yes. Favor requires all Runners to maintain an up-to-date personal auto insurance policy with minimum limits required by Texas law.
If you fail to maintain your own insurance, Favor’s auto insurance coverage will not apply in the event you get into an accident while on an active Favor.
Do I need to enroll in order to be covered?
No enrollment is required. Runners are automatically covered as of October 31, 2019. Please note that this coverage only applies while running an active Favor.
Do I need to pay for this new insurance coverage?
No. The Runner auto insurance program is provided at no cost to you.
What types of coverage is provided?
Third-party liability coverage is provided at this time. This means that in the event of a collision, if you are on an active delivery and report it to Favor we will contribute to the cost of defense and settlement of any claim brought by the affected third party. Bicycles are not covered by this policy.
What types of coverage is not provided?
At this time, any coverage other than third party liability is not provided. This means first party damages to your vehicle or your bodily injury will not be covered by Favor and must be handled by your own insurance.
What types of vehicles are covered?
All vehicles must be registered and licensed with any U.S. state to be covered. Bicycles are not covered by this policy.
I got into an accident while delivering with a competing on-demand delivery company. Will Favor’s auto insurance coverage apply for that accident?
No. Favor’s auto insurance coverage only applies while running an active Favor. Any accidents that may occur when you are not running an active Favor will not be covered.
How do I know if I’m on an active Order?
An Order is considered active from the time you accept an order until the order is dropped off at the delivery location/completed, but only if you are engaged in activity necessary to fulfill the order (e.g. not making a personal stop or dropping off a delivery for another platform along the way).
I’ve submitted a Runner Accident Insurance Form. What happens next?
A claims adjuster from Favor’s insurance partner will reach out to you directly to guide you through the claims process. The claims adjuster may request additional information. It is important that you provide that information as soon as possible to avoid any delays in the handling of your claim. Please contact your personal auto insurance provider first to file a claim for any damage to your vehicle or property.
Do I still need to maintain my existing commercial liability coverage?
Favor’s auto insurance coverage only applies while running an active Favor. For additional help, we strongly encourage you to speak with your current commercial liability insurance company.
If I get into an accident while on an active Favor, what insurance information do I provide to the other parties involved?
In the event you get into an accident, please provide the policy information listed on Favor’s digital insurance card.
Do I need to contact my personal auto insurance policy provider?
Favor’s contingent collision coverage requires that claims for vehicle or property damage must be filed with your personal auto insurance provider first.
In the event the claim is not covered, you can contact Favor at insurance@favordelivery.com.
Does Favor’s insurance cover damages to my vehicle/property?
No, you will need to contact your primary insurance provider and file a claim with them.
Does Favor cover the cost of a rental vehicle while my vehicle is being replaced?
No, Favor’s auto insurance coverage does not cover the cost of a rental vehicle.
Who can I contact to get updates about my claim?
