Protecting your Runner account information
At Favor, we take a number of steps to ensure your Runner account is protected against potential threats, including:
- Placing a temporary 48-hour hold on all newly added or updated debit cards for Instant Pay deposits. This allows Favor to verify the information and prevent any potential fraudulent activity.
- Improving login security measures with multi-factor authentication to prevent unauthorized access to your account. If suspicious activity is detected when you log in to the app, you will receive a unique, four-digit code via text to confirm your login information.
- Proactively disabling accounts that may be linked to unusual or suspicious activity, such as customer or merchant fraud.
Even with these safeguards in place, we suggest a few best practices to keep your account secure at all times.
Use a strong and unique password
If you use the same login credentials (email address and password) on other applications, websites, or platforms, it is possible for that information to be compromised outside of Favor. Once that information has been compromised, your account can be accessed without your consent.
- A strong password should contain a combination of words, numbers, symbols, and upper and lower case letters.
- DO NOT reuse your password on any other applications, websites, or platforms, including your Runner email account.
Do not give out your account information
Favor will NEVER request confidential account information, such as your password or security code, or give you a specific password to use. If any sensitive information is changed on your account, Favor will email you for confirmation from one of the following Support accounts:
- Password reset request: support@favordelivery.com
- Account update confirmation: noreply@favordelivery.com
If you receive a confirmation email but did not make changes to your account, contact Runner Support immediately.
DO NOT share your password, security code, or other confidential account information, even if the request appears to come from Favor or someone who knows specific details about your order(s).
Sharing sensitive information allows scammers to change your bank account details and steal your earnings by sending them to another bank account. The best way to prevent these scams is to keep your account details confidential.
